Dewine on the SCOTUS?

This might be old news, but I didn't catch it till now. WCPO.com reported on June 28 that Mike DeWine was considered to be good supreme court nominee.

...offered three names of people he said would be good for the court: GOP Senators Mel Martinez of Florida, Mike DeWine of Ohio, Mike Crapo of Idaho and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

More interesting to me is that the list comes from Senator Reid, although in a way it does make sense since DeWine is part of the "Group of 14" that reached the filibuster compromise. It could also just be a way to distract DeWine in order for a Democrat, Sherrod Brown (if I get my way), to get his Senate Seat. But with recent published popularity polls, I don’t think DeWine needs any distractions. He’s going to have a hard time getting re-elected no matter who the democratic candidate for the seat is. Run a strong and popular candidate such as Rep. Brown against Senator DeWine, and he’s going to need all the luck he can get. If Sherrod Brown were to run, he would come out on top and Senator DeWine would be defeated like his son was in the House primary.
